Personnel working on installations on the Dutch continental shelf operate in one of the most demanding environments in the world. When a medical emergency occurs offshore, immediate and competent first aid can make the difference between a full recovery and a far worse outcome. The NOGEPA 2.2B Offshore First Aid Refresher ensures that your skills and knowledge remain sharp and current, so you are ready to act when it matters most.
Over two days, the training revisits the full scope of offshore first aid competencies defined by NOGEPA, the Netherlands Oil and Gas Exploration and Production Association. Practical exercises cover how to transport injured or ill colleagues safely, how to communicate effectively with onshore medical professionals via radio, and how to manage life-threatening conditions such as drowning, hypothermia, severe bleeding, and shock. The course keeps you up to date with current protocols and gives you the opportunity to practise skills in realistic scenarios.
Successful participants receive a NOGEPA 2.2B certificate that is registered in the Centraal Diploma Register (CDR) and valid for two years. The course is available on request for groups of at least four participants and is delivered in English at the training facility.
