The GWO Sea Survival training is specifically developed for personnel working in the offshore wind energy sector. Operating in a marine environment introduces unique risks, and this course ensures that technicians and other offshore professionals are fully prepared to manage emergencies that can arise at or near the water. Throughout the training, participants practise critical survival skills including how to correctly don and use personal flotation and protective equipment, how to board and leave vessels safely, and how to respond when a colleague goes overboard. Evacuation procedures, communication protocols, and the operation of life-saving appliances are all covered in a hands-on setting that mirrors real offshore conditions. A blended learning option is available for those who prefer to complete the theoretical component online in advance. In this case, the practical part takes place in the afternoon, keeping time away from work to a minimum. Upon successful completion, participants receive a GWO Sea Survival certificate that is valid for two years.
